On a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Terry Floyd Field in Manchester the Coffee County Lady Raiders defeated the Tullahoma Lady Cats 11-1.
Coffee County’s big inning came in the third inning when they plated four runs. Kaitlyn Davis had a long solo homer. Later in the inning Sir Pizza Player of the Game Chesnie Cox knocked in 2 runs (Jada Bowen and Emily Schuster) with a single and one batter later Olivia Evans scored on a passed ball.
Davis earned the win for Coffee County in the circle. The righthander went five innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out four and walking one.
The Lady Raiders (11-8) collected 15 hits on the day. Cox, Evans, and Bowen all had 3 hits in the game. First-baseman Haidyn Campbell added two hits.
Mallorie Stone led Tullahoma (1-10) one hit in two at bats.
Coffee County’s game on Monday against Mt Juliet has been cancelled. They’ll host Shelbyville on Tuesday. Tullahoma will play host to Lincoln County on Tuesday
