Coffee County Roars past Shelbyville in Thursday Softball

The Lady Raider softball team put on an offensive show as Coffee County powered past Shelbyville on Thursday night at Terry Floyd Field, 15-1.

Senior Pitcher Kaitlyn Davis struck out the first seven batters she saw and picked up ten on the night as she helped her team improve to 13-5 overall and 3-0 in district play.

The Lady Raiders had 13 hits in the game, with Madison Pruitt going 3-for-3, scoring once, and she had 4 RBI. Paisley Campbell hit a long 3-run homer in a 10-run third inning. Willow Carden and Savannah Cooper had 2 hits each, both scored a run, and they each had 2 RBI. Ella Arnold added 2 hits and scored 2 runs.

Alyssa Smith managed an RBI single, and Damonyai Lyons doubled and scored a run for the Eaglettes.

Coffee County will travel to Tullahoma on Sunday afternoon. Gametime is set for 3 PM, and The Rooster 101.5 will be there for the coverage beginning at 2:50 PM.
