Coffee County Softball takes down Dickson County in the State Tournament. Up next Summit

Keri Munn had all the right stuff on Thursday for Coffee County Lady Raiders, allowing no runs and besting Dickson County Cougars by a score of 2-0.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Munn struck out seven, while Ashlan Sensing sat down six.

Coffee County Lady Raiders got on the board in the first inning when Munn doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Munn allowed no runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out seven and no walks.

Sensing took the loss for Dickson County. She lasted seven innings, allowing 12 hits and gave up two runs while striking out six and walking none.

The Lady Raiders collected 12 hits. Kiya Ferrell, Haidyn Campbell, Olivia Evans, and Kaitlyn Davis each managed multiple hits for Coffee County. Ferrell went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Lady Raiders in hits.

The Lady Raiders will play Summit at 9 AM on Friday and you can hear it live on The Rooster 101.5 FM. If Coffee County makes it to the if necessary game on Friday evening that game will be heard on 93.9 The Duck and the CCCHS graduation will be heard on The Rooster 101.5 FM.
