In game 1 of a doubleheader in Winchester the Coffee County was down to its last strike and losing 6-5 to Franklin County in the bottom of the 9th, 2B Brady Nugent stepped up big. Nugent drove a 3-2 pitch to deep leftfield for a homerun, tying the Rebels.
Next up, Sir Pizza Player of the Game Caleb Moran, who homered in the first walked and stole second. Then Coach Kyle Douglas rolled the dice and had Moran attempt to steal third and when Franklin County’s catcher threw the ball wide of third Moran hustled home for the winning game.
Timothy Henderson got the win for the Raiders (7-10/5-2). The lefty came in to pitch the final 4 innings in relief of starter Aiden Robertson.
Josh Stoltzfus took the loss in relief for Franklin County Rebels (8-11/4-3).
Nugent, Cole Pippenger, Jacob Sherrill, Moran, Jacob Holder, Andrew Dawson, and Robertson each collected one hit to lead Coffee County.
Franklin County had nine hits in the game. McKeon Whitsett had three, Wyatt Lowe, and Sam Vincent had two each.

In game 2, Aiden Robertson had a huge game with a homerun, triple and 4 RBI, but Franklin County scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th to beat the Raiders, 8-7.
Both teams finished the night at 5-3 in 6-4A play and remain tied for first place.
