The Coffee County Lady Raiders picked up an important District 8-AAA 5-2 win on the road at Lincoln County on Thursday night. The game was tied at two after 7 innings, so extra 8th inning was needed to get a winner. The Lady Raiders stay unbeaten in district play and 20-3-1.
Coffee County was batting in the top of the eighth when Kiya Ferrell ripped a tripled scoring three runs, including herself on an errant throw.
Keri Munn was outstanding in the circle for the Lady Raiders as she struck out 14 Lady Falcon hitters.
Coffee County had 12 hits with a Ferrell, Justus Turner, and Chesnie Cox all contributed multiple hits. Ferrell had the big bat with three hits, 2 RBI and she scored twice.
