The Coffee County Middle School Lady Raiders will play for the TMSAA Softball championship after defeating Ross N Robinson 8-2 on Friday.
After plating five runs in the third inning, the Lady Raiders were able to put away Ross N Robinson. Paige Chilton and Bailey Hale singled in runs. A groundout by Briley Jernigan added another, and Maggie Montgomery hit a two-run double.
Madi Scott went all seven innings for the win. She allowed nine hits and two runs while striking out four.
Scott and Chilton all had two hits to lead the CCMS Lady Raiders. Chilton finished with 3 RBI.
Weather permitting, CCMS will play for the state championship at 1:30 PM at Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville.
