Coffee Middle Softball Finishes Runner-Up in the State

CCMS Lady Raiders stayed in it until the end, but West Wilson Middle School Wildcats pulled away late in a 10-7 victory on Saturday in the TMSAA state softball championship game.

The game was tied at seven with West Wilson batting in the bottom of the fifth when they scored the go-ahead run.

Maddi Scott had three hits for the Lady Raiders to help lead the offense. Taylor McBride, Cara Newlin, and Briley Jernigan had two hits each. Maggie Montgomery, Kaylee Buckley, and Jernigan added two RBI each.

CCMS softball’s runner-up finish is the best in school history.
