The Community Vikings boys Basketball team have fought their way to compete the Class AA Sate Quarterfinals at MTSU in Murfreesboro.
On Monday the Vikings defeated the Magnet Eagles of East Nashville in the Class AA Sectional round 58-46. The Vikings went undefeated in tournament play for District and Region. In the first round of the Region 6 AA Tournament the Vikings notched a 57-50 win in overtime against the Rebels of Stewart County to advance in the Region 6 AA Semifinal round and defeat the Tigers of Marshall County 58-48. The Vikings traveled to Creek Wood to defeat the Red Hawks 54-49 for the Region 6 AA Championship. The Vikings dominated the Rockets of Forrest 77-48 in the District 12 AA semifinal round to advance and defeat the Tigers of Murfreesboro Central Magnet 75-61 for the District 12 AA Championship. The Vikings will head to Murfreesboro and face off against the Yellowjackets of Kingston in the Class AA State Quarterfinal on Thursday March 18th with tip-off set for 10am at MTSU.
