COVID-19 Deaths in Tennessee Rising Quickly

The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed 3,478 additional cases and 146 deaths related to COVID-19 across the state for Tuesday, January 12.

There are currently 73,518 active COVID-19 cases in the state.

The 146 additional deaths brings the state up to 8,011 total. Tuesday now stands as the second-highest single-day deaths increase in Tennessee.

Tennessee is averaging 92 deaths per day during the month of January so far.

The state reported 3,048 people are currently hospitalized in Tennessee due to COVID-19. ICU Bed availability is at 10%.
