Coffee County Central High School announced Thursday afternoon that they have hires Kyle Douglas as the new head baseball coach.
“Kyle has a passion for baseball, he has a passion for Coffee County, and he has a strong desire to lead the Red Raider baseball team,” Co-Athletic Director Brad Costello said in a statement. “We are excited to have Coach Douglas on board and look forward to the continued success of our baseball program.”
Douglas is a Coffee County alumnus who was a four year member of the Red Raider baseball team. After graduation he played four years of collegiate baseball at Freed Hardeman University and served graduate assistant at FHU. Douglas previously served as head coach at LaVergne High School and was an assistant coach for the Red Raiders last year. He also teaches English at Coffee County Central.
