Due to Covid-19 Gas Prices Falling at Rapid Pace

One of few positive things taking place during the Covid-19 outbreak is lower gas prices. Tennessee gas prices continue to decline and has dropped nearly 13 cents since in the last week. The Tennessee gas price average is now $1.77 which is 45 cents less than one month ago and nearly 71 cents less than one year ago. At $1.99, the national gas price average is 13-cents cheaper on the week, 45-cents less expensive a month ago and 70-cents less than a year ago.
On Target News has been searching for the cheapest gas price in our coverage area. The lowest price we found is in the Grundy County town of Coalmont at $1.14 per gallon, which makes the price 43-cents less that the state average.
