Fatal Crash Tuesday Afternoon on Lynchburg Highway

45 year-old Thomas (Matthew) Sullenger was killed in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday afternoon in the Mulberry community.  

Sullenger grew up in Moore County, but was living and working in Lincoln County.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Sullenger was driving east on the Lynchburg Highway in Mulberry around 5:30 p.m. when for an unknown reason his 1997 Oldsmobile struck a guardrail. Sullenger came off the guardrail into left lane colliding with a 2003 Ford Ranger driven by 77 year-old Richard Wiser of Fayetteville.

Wiser was transported to a Huntsville Hospital.
