Firebirds Overpower Wildcats in Region Battle

The Pearl Cohn Firebirds scored touchdowns on their first six possessions to cruise past the Tullahoma Wildcats 45-0 Friday night in Nashville.

Pearl Cohn took advantage of Wildcat miscues, cashing in turnover for points and short fields to set up scores to build a 35 point advantage in the first quarter. Tullahoma got a couple of stops in the second quarter to limit the Firebirds to just 10 more points before the break and then a running clock brought the second half which featured numerous backups on both sides to a quick end.

The loss, Tullahoma’s fourth straight, drops the Wildcats to 1-4 on the season and 0-3 in Region 5-4A. They’ll try to right the ship when they return home to host Hillwood, next Friday at 7:00. Pregame coverage om 93.9 The Duck starts at 6:30. Wildcat Football on The Duck is built by Twin Cedars Construction.

He then moved into the business professionally as a board op/producer for Cumulus of Knoxville and the Vol Network. His radio journey then took him to Louisiana where he was the lead producer for ESPN New Orleans. After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
