Former Decherd Finance Officer Arrested

On Nov. 7, 2019, the then Decherd, TN Certified Municipal Finance Officer Tammie Allen, was reported by city officials to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office that the city suspected Allen of misappropriating funds.
Last week Allen was arrested after an indictment was issued by the Franklin County Grand Jury.
She was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, forgery, passing a forged instrument, official misconduct and destruction and tampering with government records.
Bond was posted for Allen and she was released from jail. She is set to appear in court on Jan 17, at 9 a.m.
Allen no longer works for the city.
