At the July 13, 2020, regular meeting of the Franklin County School Board, a group of three petitioned to have the official nickname and logo for Franklin County High School changed from the “Rebels” theme associated with the teams and school for decades.
Ms. Chris Colane was one of three who requested the Rebels logo be removed from the teams. She is a former teacher whose children went to FCHS.
The School Board will next discuss the petition at its workshop on Monday, July 20, at the School Board location on South College Street. The workshop is normally not a voting meeting unless designated as such by a school board member and approved by a majority.
