Friday Crash Severely Injures One

One person suffered head trauma in a two vehicle wreck on Cecil Laxson Road in Warren County near Coffee County on Friday morning.
According to Trooper Wade Myers of the Tennessee Highway Patrol a 2014 Nissan Altima, driven by 46 year old Maria Perez of Morrison was traveling eastbound on Cecil Laxson Road and a 2006 Ford F-150, driven by 47 year old Tracie Nutt of Tullahoma, was traveling westbound. Both vehicles topped a hillcrest in the center of the road and collided head-on. The Altima sustained the most damage in the crash.

Perez had to be extricated from her vehicle and she was taken by ambulance to Unity Medical Center in Manchester. She was later transported to Erlanger Hospital with severe head trauma. Perez was cited for driving without a license. Nutt was uninjured in the crash.
