Tracy Hayworth has been named the new head football coach at his alma mater, Franklin County High School.
The 55-year-old Hayworth is a former linebacker for the University of Tennessee. He played from 1990-1995 in the NFL for the Detroit Lions. He played high school for the Franklin County High School Rebels as a running back, class of 1985.
On July 20, 2018, Hayworth was introduced as head football coach at Grundy County High in Coalmont, Tenn. for three seasons. After leaving that job he became the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for Franklin County.
Hayworth takes over the Rebels program after Justin Cunningham resigned last week to become the offensive line coach at Boyd Buchanan in Chattanooga.
