Coffee County’s Lady Raiders fell behind 12-1 early and then mounted a huge comeback to fall just short on Thursday evening at Anderson County, 12-9.
The Lady Raiders had a big fifth inning as they plated 5 runs. The rally was led by singles from Olivia Evans and Kiya Ferrell, a sacrifice fly by Chesnie Cox, and a double by Haidyn Campbell.
The Lady Mavericks had a huge third inning when they scored eight runs.
Channah Gannon took the loss for Coffee County as the Lady Raiders dropped to 7-7 on the season.
Coffee County collected a total of 13 hits. Jada Bowen and Ferrell had 3 hits each. Evans and Jalyn Moran added two hits.
