The Coffee County Lady Raiders stayed undefeated with a win on Thursday in the Warrior Classic in Murfreesboro. The Lady Raiders scored two runs in the 7th inning to get past the South Elgin, Illinois Storm 7-5
The game was tied at five when Kaitlyn Davis doubled on the first pitch she saw, scoring one run and Willow Carden knocked in Ava McIntosh who was running for Davis.
Coffee County top of the sixth inning, when Katelyn Anderson doubled in Madison Pruitt after she had doubled.
Davis was the winning pitcher for the 4-0 Lady Raiders. The right-hander threw a perfect final two innings in relief of starter Katelyn Anderson.
Coffee County continues to hit the ball very well, as they had nine hits in the game. Carden and Davis had two hits each. Jalyn Moran, Channah Gannon, Cheyenne Vickers, Pruitt and Anderson added one each for the Lady Raiders.
Coffee County will play Carterville, Illinois, at 6 PM on Friday, South Gibson at 10 AM Saturday, followed by Floyd Central, IN.
