Savannah Cooper had a huge day at the plate for the Coffee County Lady Raiders on Sunday afternoon at Terry Floyd Field in Manchester. Cooper singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and hit a 3-run dinger in the sixth to help the Lady Raiders get past the Tullahoma Lady Cats, 9-1.

Coffee County grabbed an early advantage when Willow Carden led off the bottom on first and blasted the first pitch she saw for her fourth homer of the season. She also added an RBI double in the sixth. Channah Gannon was also in the home run spirit as she hit her third homer this year, going yard in the third inning. She had 2 RBI in Sunday’s game.

Kaitlyn Davis was the winning pitcher for Coffee County as she surrendered one unearned run and just one hit in three innings of work. She struck out six and didn’t allow a walk. Freshman Lily Norman was outstanding in relief. Norman threw the final three innings allowing just two hits, no runs or walks, and she had five strikeouts. Katy Bean took the loss for Tullahoma (14-11).

Coffee County (18-7/6-0) will host district foe Warren County on Monday at 7 PM. You can hear the game on The Rooster 101.5, www.rooster1015.com, or the Rooster 101.5 app.
