Coffee County High School girls basketball traveled to Columbia to face its district rival Lady Lions on Tuesday. The Lady Raiders got off to a slow start and trailed the Lions at halftime. The Lady Raiders roared back in the second half to secure the victory 62-42. Coffee County was led by Bella Vinson with 29 (13 of 14 from the free-throw line). Elli Chumley had a spectacular second half as she pumped in 16 and was named the Crazy Daisies Player of the game.
The Lady Raiders are now 7-1 on the season and 1-0 in District 8-AAA play. They will host to another district rival, the ladies from Franklin County on Friday night at 6 PM in a game you can hear on Rooster 101.5 FM. At this point there will only be a girls game.
