Thursday night the number 23 ranked Lady Vols unfortunately fell to the Georgia Bulldogs 67-66.
The Lady Vols took the lead in the first period against the Georgia Bulldogs 25-17. The Lady Vols ended the first period with an eight-point lead going into the second period over the Bulldogs. Tennessee continued to dominate the court by outscoring Georgia 15-8 in the second period. The Lady Vols went into the locker room on top 40-25 over the Bulldogs at the half. Entering the third period the Georgia Bulldogs came out of the locker room and decimated the Lady Vols scoring 28-9 in the third period alone. The Georgia Bulldogs finished the third period on top of Tennessee 51-49 going into the fourth period. The Georgia Bulldogs held the lead in the fourth period to upset the number 23 ranked Lady Vols 67-66.
