Mark Ledbetter, the mayor of Cowan, TN, has resigned from his position.
In a letter dated June 2, Ledbetter stated in a letter dated June 2 to the city council that he was resigning because of health reasons. He thanked the council for the time they had to work together. He also thanked the citizens of Cowan for allowing him to serve.
It is assumed that the current Vice Mayor, Anthony Ingle will serve in the role of mayor for next week’s council meeting.
