On Sunday, (October 6, 2019) a Coffee County deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a motorcycle coming out of Lakewood Park. The arrest warrant states that the male operator passed several vehicles on Fredonia Rd. towards Manchester.
The man later identified as 45 year-old Troy Lee Perkins of McMinnville, TN. allegedly went through a bean field in an attempt to evade arrest. According to the warrant, Perkins finally stopped on Green Lake Road and attempted to run on foot and had to be subdued by a taser.
While searching Perkins, the deputies allegedly found 4.23 grams of meth as well as 3.67 grams of marijuana.
He was charged with evading arrest, simple possession, vandalism, driving on revoked/suspended license, manufacturing of meth, reckless endangerment and resisting stop, halt, frisk. Bond was set at $12,500.
Perkins has a court date of October 22, 2019.
