A Bedford County man was charged with aggravated rape of a child Thursday April 22.

The Shelbyville Times Gazette reports that Ashton Blaine Hames, 21, of Goose Creek Road was jailed on $250,000 bond, Bedford County Jail intake records show.

The 7-year-old victim is a relative of Hames, Detective Lt. Scott Jones said.

The charge is based on one alleged incident, but investigation continues, and more charges are possible.
