Manchester’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen has approved using $1.4 million of the city’s reserves during their most recent meeting.
According to the Manchester Times, Public Works will purchase a knuckle boom truck for $200,000 and $265,000 in paving projects. The Finance Department will get an extra employee at $40,000. A 5% raise for all Manchester city employees was approved. The Recreation Department gets $110,000 for various items and $524,010 will be used for new radios for the police and fire departments.
This leaves $5.6 million in reserves, which is state recommended.
