Manchester’s Oldest WW II Veteran Passes

Ed Reader, Sr. passed away over the weekend, according to his son.

Ed was Manchester’s oldest VFW member at 99 years of age. He would have turned 100 in October. 

He was a World War II veteran and prisoner of war and became a VFW member when he left the service in 1945, 78 years ago.

Sheriff's Dept. and taught Radio/TV for six years at Grundy County High School.
