Marion County Deputy/Former Monteagle Alderman to Resign from Sheriff’s Department after DUI Charge

Marion County Sheriff Bo Burnette has confirmed that Sergeant Chris Ladd is resigning from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested last year.

The Marion County Court Clerk says Ladd will appear in court on May 23 to enter a plea in his DUI case.

Ladd was placed on paid leave after he was arrested and charged with DUI by Monteagle Police in December of last year, according to the sheriff.

A few years ago, Ladd served as an alderman for the Town of Monteagle.
