In a follow-up to a story we reported in January, 37-year-old Jacob Omar Simpson appeared in Warren County General Sessions Court this week on a charge of criminal homicide. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing, and his case was bound over to the grand jury.
Simpson is charged in the shooting death of his son, 20-year-old Jathan Allen Cagle, on January 20. The incident took place at a home on Lane Street in McMinnville.
