Missing Shelbyville Youth Possibly Armed

The Shelbyville Police Department is requesting your assistance. On February 5th, 2024, the Shelbyville Police Department received a report of a runaway juvenile. 15-year-old Iziah Gutierrez left his residence on foot with no known direction of travel.

In addition to Iziah’s disappearance, it has come to Shelbyville Police’s attention that he took two firearms from a locked closet before leaving. While there have been no direct threats towards the schools, out of an abundance of caution, lockdown procedures were implemented in all of Bedford County Schools on Tuesday.

In a statement from the police, they stated that the safety and well-being of the community are paramount, and they are doing everything possible to locate Iziah.

Shelbyville Police are urging anyone with information on Iziah’s whereabouts to contact the Shelbyville Police Department immediately.

Your assistance is invaluable in helping bring Iziah home safely. Please call 931-684-5811 with any information.
