The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed additional cases and deaths related to COVID-19 across the state on Monday, August 17.
The health department reported 1,036 new cases, bringing the state to 134,744 total cases.
Monday’s new case update is the state’s third lowest in the month of August.
TDH also confirmed 21 additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 1,387 total deaths.
Out of the confirmed positive cases, 94,812 have recovered, an increase of 2,157 recoveries. Tennessee’s new active case count stands at 38,545.
*Bedford County: 12 died; 987 confirmed/probable cases; 741 recovered; 234 active cases
*Cannon County: 0 died; 166 confirmed/probable cases; 111 recovered; 55 active cases
*Coffee County: 4 died: 617 confirmed/probable cases; 311 recovered; 302 active cases
*Franklin County: 4 died; 383 confirmed/probable; 243 recovered; 136 active cases.
*Grundy County: 2 died; 130 confirmed/probable; 96 recovered; 32 active cases
*Lincoln County: 1 died; 349 confirmed/probable; 201 recovered; 147 active cases.
*Moore County: 0 died; 77 confirmed/probable; 37 recovered; 40 active cases
*Rutherford County: 59 died; 7,137 confirmed/probable; 4,533 recovered; 2,545 active cases.
*Warren County: 6 died; 626 confirmed/probable; 335 recovered; 285 active cases
