Moore County baseball falls to Lincoln County

Moore County Blue Raiders had trouble keeping up with Lincoln County in a 15-5 loss on Monday. 

In the first inning, Moore County Blue Raiders got their offense started. Zach Hernandez threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Moore County. 

After Moore County Blue Raiders scored two runs in the top of the fifth, Lincoln County answered with two of their own. Moore County scored when Chris Martin doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. Lincoln County then answered when Miles Smith doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. 

Lincoln County pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Pnaker Webb singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Nate McAdams singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. 

Lincoln County scored four runs in the sixth inning. Chase Treola, Tyler Anderson, Smith, and Chants Atehley each had RBIs in the frame. 

Hernandez was on the pitcher’s mound for Lincoln County. The bulldog allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out three.

Ryder Morey led things off on the hill for Moore County. The righty allowed two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one. Hayden Carter, Jacob Baker, Hayden Cooper, and Keller Morey each entered the game as relief, throwing two innings, one inning, one inning, and two-thirds of an inning respectively. 

Morey led Moore County Blue Raiders with two hits in four at bats. 

Lincoln County saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Anderson and Atehley each racked up multiple hits for Lincoln County. Lincoln County was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Charlie Stubblefield made the most plays with six.
