In a game heard on Raider Country 105.1 and 95.9, Moore County blasted Wayne County for a TSSAA first-round playoff win on Friday.
QB and Mr Football semifinalist Kyler Parker runs for the game’s first TD. The PAT was no good to make it 6-0 Raiders.
In the 2nd quarter Tyler Smith rushes in for a touchdown as Moore County extended the lead to 13-0. Parker scores again on TD run and gets the two-point conversion makes it 21-0. Raiders with 10:16 to play in the second quarter. With 5:47 to play in the first half, Tyler Smith scores his second touchdown on the night, but this time on defense. Smith forced a Wayne County fumble and scooped and scored. Chase Bradford’s PAT was good and Raiders to their lead up to 28-0. Dawson White got the next rushing score as Moore County upped the lead to the mercy-rule of 35-0 with 3:39 to go in the second quarter. The Raiders would score a special team TD when Ryder Morey blocked a punt and ran it in for six points. Bradford’s PAT made it 42-0. Moore County got the ball back with only a few seconds remaining and Parker hit Tyler Smith for six more as the Raiders. It was Smith’s third TD in the first half. At the break Moore County led Wayne County 49-0.
In the 4th Wayne County was able to score twice on the younger Raiders to make the final 49-14.
This Friday Moore County at 10-1 will travel to 9-2 Huntingdon.
