Grizzlies lose ground
The Memphis Grizzlies lost Sunday to the 9th place San Antonio Spurs after Spurs forward DeMar DeRozan sank two free throws with a second to play. The Grizzlies are still are hanging on to the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Braves look to sweep series
After 5 straight wins including 3 games over the Mets this weekend, the Atlanta Braves will attempt to sweep the series on Monday. The Braves bats have come alive with 22 runs scored in the Mets series.
Cardinals grounded for weekend series
The St. Louis Cardinals series with Milwaukee was cancelled after more players and staff are awaiting test results. The Cards have a day off on Monday and hope to play a four game series with the Detroit Tigers starting Tuesday with a doubleheader set for Wednesday.
Keselowski Dominates At New Hampshire
Brad Keselowski took the checkered flag Sunday at the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 followed Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. This was the second win of the year for Keselowski. Kevin Harvick remains the points leader after a 5th place finish yesterday. Next week NASCAR moves to Michigan for the FiresKeepers Casino 400 on Saturday.
Thomas wins at Fedex St. Jude in Memphis
Justin Thomas fired a low score of 65 on Sunday to take the Fedex St. Jude Invitational in Memphis. Thomas final tally of 13 under was three strokes better than a second place foursome of players. Up next is the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park in California.
