The former Southern Family Market in Manchester is just about ready to reopen, but not as a business. According to Coffee County EMA Director Allen Lendley, will soon be used as the Coffee County Health Department location for COVID-19 testing.
Currently COVID-19 testing through the health department is done in Tullahoma 8 AM-11 AM and in Manchester from 1 PM-4 PM. This means that all the free testing from the health department will be done at a centralized location for Coffee County.
Lendley said the Covid-19 testing will take place inside an air-conditioned tent in the former grocery store. This will also allow for better parking and traffic flow.
Lendley says he hopes the new testing site will be open later this week or at least by Monday. On Target News will announce when the site is open.
