New Director Named for Franklin County Schools

The Franklin County Board of Education met on Monday night and selected Dr. Cary Holman as Franklin County’s next Director of Schools. Holman by a vote of 5-3 over Dr. Roger Alsup.

Holman has been the LaVergne Middle School principal since 2010. He will replace Stanley Bean, who is retiring at the end of the current academic year.

Holman returns to Franklin County after serving as principal at Clark Memorial Elementary principal from August 2001 to May 2003.

Sheriff's Dept. and taught Radio/TV for six years at Grundy County High School.
