Sometime Monday afternoon a homicide took place in the Lakewood Park area of Coffee County. Coffee County Sheriff’s Department personnel responded to Birch Lane for a welfare check and that’s when they located the victim, 68 year-old Johnny Tesar.

A be on the lookout call was made to other law enforcement agencies for Tesar’s 2003 Chevy Trailblazer with at least a female occupant. Coffee County Sheriff’s Department Investigator James Sherrill told On Target News that suspects Tyler Carter age 20 and Sasha Payton age 33, both from Coffee County along with an unnamed third person were detained after the vehicle was spotted by authorities in Okemah, OK at a Days Inn. It is believed the third person may not have been involved in the crimes in Coffee County. Officers in Okemah returned Tuesday afternoon and executed a search warrant on the room in which the suspects had been staying. No other information was released from authorities in Oklahoma.
