Recognition continues to roll in for Coffee County’s Keri Munn and Huntland’s Ashtyn Danley as the they have been named All-State by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.
Munn, an MTSU signee, posted a 27-4 record in the circle with a 0.81 ERA and 268 strikeouts in 2021 to help guide the Lady Raider softball team to a program best ever runner up finish in Class AAA in 2021.
Danley was equally dominate both at the plate and in the circle. She hit .693 with 61 hits 41 RBI and 38 runs scored in 2021. All this while holding a .97 ERA and striking out 168 to lead Huntland to a third-place finish in the Class A state Tournament.
Coffee County resumes preparations for the 2022 season this week with a pair of summer scrimmages. They visit Smyrna on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. and host Riverdale on Wednesday also at 5:00 p.m.
