Passing game leads Page past Coffee County

The pass happy Page Patriots aired it out on Friday night as the #1 Class 5-A team got past Coffee County in high school football, 28-14.

Patriot QB Colin Hurd completed 28 of 45 attempts for 376 yards and 4 touchdowns for last year’s state runner-up. Page improved to 4-0 on the season.

The Red Raiders fought hard against the tough Patriot defense. Cole Pippenger rushed 9 times for 89 yards and added 139 yards passing. Pippenger, who also added a 10-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter was named the Rooster 101.5 Player of the Game. Konor Heaton carried the ball 20 times for 74 yards and one score on a one-yard plunge in the 4th. Jahlin Osbourne caught 5 passes for 71 yards.

This Friday the Raiders (2-2/1-0) will play host the Lebanon Blue Devils (3-1/1-0) at Carden-Jarrell Field. Lebanon lost to Siegel on Friday, 31-28.
