A winter storm is approaching Southern Middle Tennessee. All administrative Coffee County offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 10, and both Coffee County Libraries will close Saturday, Jan. 11, due to forecasted inclement weather. Normal business hours are expected to resume Monday, Jan. 13, weather permitting. The Rural Solid Waste Convenience Centers will also be closed Friday . The City of Tullahoma will treat icy roads as detailed on a map on its Facebook page. Residents are urged to stay home if possible. Garbage services are expected to run as scheduled, though pickup times may vary. Place carts curbside by 6 AM on service days. Coffee County, Manchester City, Fayetteville, and Lincoln County schools are closed
Friday. Tullahoma City Schools will have a remote learning day. The AEDC commander has authorized maximum telework for all non-mission-essential DOD personnel at Arnold Air Force Base Friday.
Fair Haven Baptist Church in Shelbyville (2726 Highway 231 N) has opened an emergency warming center operating from 6 PM to 8 AM, except Wednesdays when it opens at 8 PM. Meals and shelter will be provided. Transportation can be arranged by calling Toby at 615-962-4216. The center will remain open nightly while temperatures stay below 32°F.
