A barrel house at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, partially collapsed early Monday morning, leaving the fate of some stored whiskey in question. Jack Daniel’s parent company, Brown–Forman, confirmed the overnight collapse of the structure, built in the 1960s, but reported no injuries. Global public relations director Svend Jansen in a statement.“No individuals were inside the barrel house at the time and there were no injuries to any employees. Moore County Sheriff Tyler Hatfield told WKRN that authorities are no longer involved in the incident. "Jack Daniel’s has plenty of resources to handle the situation. Everything is contained at this point," he said. Company spokesperson Ashley Schaffner Fletcher says that up to 15% of barrels inside the house may have been impacted. “All affected whiskey has been contained, and the company is working with all appropriate government agencies as the incident is remediated.
