
Unionville, TN – The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office has charged a local man with Criminal Homicide following a tragic discovery in the Unionville area.
On March 3, 2025, deputies responded to a residence on Davis Lane for a welfare check. Upon arrival, they made contact with 24-year-old Curtis Colten Edwards, a resident of the home. Further investigation led to the discovery of the body of a 58-year-old female inside the residence. Authorities later confirmed that the deceased was Edwards’ mother, and foul play was suspected.
Detectives, in collaboration with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, worked overnight to process the scene and gather evidence. As a result of their investigation, Curtis Colten Edwards was charged with Criminal Homicide in connection to his mother’s death.
The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office delayed releasing information about the case until all necessary family notifications were completed. Edwards is currently being held without bond as the investigation continues.
