There's a celebration of Life for tomorrow (9/14) for former TBI Director Mark Gwyn, who died August 22 at his residence following a sudden illness at the age of 61.
In June of 2004, He was appointed to serve as TBI Director, making him the first African-American to hold the post, a position he held until his retirement in 2018.
Director Gwyn began his career in law enforcement as a police officer in his hometown of McMinnville in 1985. Services will be at 2PM Saturday at Central Church of Christ in McMinnville.
