Coffee County Falls to Oakland in Fierce Friday Night Clash

Coffee County Red Raiders suffered a brutal defeat on Friday night, falling 42-10 to No. 1 Oakland in a Fierce game at Carden Jarreld Field. Jayden Silva opened up the scoring for the Red Raiders with a 24-yard field goal to give the Red Raiders the lead in the first quarter. The Red Raiders (3-5, 1-2) were clicking on all levels; however, the Patriots responded with two touchdowns in the first half to head into halftime on top. Coffee County came out strong in the second half, but Oakland would end the game with four insurance touchdowns. With the loss, Coffee County moves to 1-3 in region play and 3-5 on the season.


Offensively for Coffee County, Caiden Warren finished with a remarkable 92 rushing yards on five carries to earn Giles Dunn Diamond Company Player of the Game. Deonte Short added 35 yards on nine carries. Jayden Cater posted 21 yards on seven carries and scored the Red Raider's lone touchdown of the night. The Red Raiders will hit the road to take on the Ooltewah Owls (0-8) on Friday, Oct. 25, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. in Ooltewah, TN.
