The Coffee County Red Raiders cruised to a 35-0 shutout victory versus Ooltewah Friday night at Monroe Stadium at Jarvis Field. The non-region matchup demonstrated another spectacular offensive performance, and the Red Raiders (4-5, 1-4) came out strong defensively, shutting down the Owls' offense on multiple drives throughout the game.
Offensively for Coffee County, Jayden Carter finished with an impressive 156 rushing yards on 10 carries and two touchdowns. Deontae Short added 142 yards on seven carries on pivotal drives, scoring two touchdowns. Jayden Carter was named the Giles Dunn Diamond Company Player of the Game after taking a pick-six 19 yards to help the Red Raiders maintain their lead. The Red Raiders improve to 4-5 as they head home to host the Blackman Blaze (5-4) on Friday, with a kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Carden Jarrell Field.
