Coffee County’s Offensive Surge Leaves Tullahoma in the Dust

Aided by 11 first-half points from Natalie Barnes, Coffee County defeated Tullahoma, 60-33, inside the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium on Friday. The win improves the Lady Raiders' impressive record to 6-0 overall.


Coffee County's Lady Raiders showcased their dominance against Tullahoma, setting the tone early with a smothering defense and precise offense. By the end of the first quarter, they had stormed to a commanding 12-3 lead.


The second quarter was no different, as the Lady Raiders unleashed an offensive surge to stretch their advantage to 19 points. At halftime, they had built a near-insurmountable 29-10 cushion over the Lady Cats.


Coming out of the break, Coffee County continued its relentless attack. An 18-point third quarter widened the gap to 47-15, leaving little doubt about the game's outcome. Although Tullahoma refused to back down in the fourth, the Lady Raiders closed the game in style, adding another 13 points to seal an emphatic 60-33 victory.


Natalie Barnes led the way for Coffee County with a stellar 16-point performance. Channah Gannon delivered in critical moments, scoring 12 points and earning the honor of Dr. James Van Winkle Player of the Game. Olivia Vinson and Jules Ferrell each contributed eight points, rounding out a balanced and dominant effort by the Lady Raiders. Coffee County will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 7, as they host York Institute, with the girl's game tipping off at 6 P.M. and the boy's contest to follow at 3 P.M.


The next broadcast on 101.5 The Rooster will be on Friday, Dec. 13, as they travel to Franklin County. Pregame coverage will begin at 5:45 P.M.
