Cooking with a Veteran Grocery Shopping Card Program in Middle TN.


 Cooking with a Veteran Inc. 501c3 in Bedford County collected donations to present Bedford County Veteran Service Office and the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center with 50 x $100.00 Grocery Shopping Cards to be distributed to veterans in need in the Middle TN Area. 20 Cards were presented to Karah Cox and Benjamin Fley of Bedford County Veteran Services and another 30 to Thomas Gallagher and Adam Sykes of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro. This is the main program through Cooking with a Veteran Inc. which aims to help veterans and their family’s put food on their tables. Since starting the program in June we have been able to help 120 veterans through Middle TN with Grocery Shopping Cards.  Also donated were gift bags presented by the Bedford County Senior Service Providers, presented by Amanda Lankford, Kala Hargrove, and Marissa Grinstead, which included toiletry items, blankets and small gifts. Also donated from Andrea Lovvorn of the New Covenant Christian Bookstore were books by Ret. Lt. Col. Herman C. Statum Vietnam Veteran books Ethos: Challenges of Right and Wrong, as well as Handmade Christmas cards from Co-Director Jesus Fuentes kids Landon and Jesus Fuentes III through their school Kittrell Elementary with special thanks to Mr. Anderson, Kittrell Rising Lady’s Society, Dr. Boyd, Mrs. Campbell.
