The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that a Franklin County business will receive a grant worth thousands of dollars to install a solar system, improve energy efficiency, and foster further economic development.
According to the USDA, the business was awarded the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Renewable and Energy Efficiency Program grant.
Cedar Rock Castle LLC in Winchester received $62,781 to install a 17.76-kilowatt (kW) ground-mounted solar system with battery storage at the wedding and meeting venue.
