Tullahoma City Schools qualifies for Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows all students in every grade level across the district to have access to free breakfast and lunch for the 2024-25 school year.
“We are excited about this new opportunity and will be offering breakfast in alternative locations and at extended times to ensure that all students can start the day with a fueled body, helping to enhance their learning experience and set them up for success,” said TCS Director of Nutrition Angela White. “Even more great news is that every child automatically qualifies for free meals, so no Free and Reduced Meal applications are necessary. This streamlines our process and eliminates the paperwork hassle.”
Negative balances from the 2023-24 school year must still be paid in full. Additionally, a la carte items are not included in CEP; students can only purchase these items if they have funds in their account and do not owe any money from the previous school year.
“This is exciting news for our district and a wonderful thing for our students,” said TCS Director of Schools Dr. Catherine Stephens. “As we get set for the new school year, this ensures that our students have a great meal to start off the day, which positively enhances the learning environment for all. I cannot thank Angela White and the rest of the nutrition department enough for assuring that breakfast and lunch will be available for all TCS students.”
