The Lady Cats picked up where they left off Wednesday when they scored four runs in the
bottom of the seventh inning to beat Siegel 11-10. Thursday, THS scored one in the first,
second, and fourth innings to build a 3-0 lead.
Addye Norman singled and stole second, then scored on Madi Goad’s single in the first. Aleigha Raby led off the second inning with a walk and scored. Raby singled to start the fourth and scored when Kylee Holt singled her in.
The offense was just warming up.
Meanwhile, starting pitcher Amaya Sharp (10-2) was cruising. She worked her way out of a first-inning jam and was hardly threatened again. She allowed two hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Sharp has struck out 61 batters in 79 innings for the season. She was named the Owens Provisions and Apparel Player of the Game.
Tullahoma exploded in the fifth inning. Goad started the rally with a single and stole second,
Kaitlynn Gattis walked, and Avanly Metcalf drove in Goad with a sacrifice fly. KK Campbell
walked, and with two outs, Ellie Simpson also drew a walk, loading the bases. Rebelettes’
pitcher Marshall walked AC Holloway, and Holt singled. After five innings, the Lady Cats led 9-0.
With two outs in the sixth, Raby doubled, Simpson walked, and Holloway drove in Raby with a double. Holt slammed a laser into the left-field corner and raced around the bases with an
inside-the-park home run, driving in Simpson and Holloway. Norman singled, and Goad closed the day with a mammoth home run. Madison is the all-time home run queen at Tullahoma with 31. She is averaging almost one home run per game.
Goad is hitting .654 with 11 homers, 11 doubles, and 46 runs batted in. Holt hits .475 with 26 runs scored and leads the team with 11 stolen bases. Norman hits .455 with 20 hits and 20 runs, along with five doubles.
